Scrotum Poles "Revelation" reissue is finally done, as is the brand new Art Museums single! Both singles look and sound fantastic, couldn't be more excited. Links to buy on left. Finally also got around to making Paypal buttons. Dulc-i-Tone enters the, uh, 'future.'

If you're in San Francisco this Friday, the Art Museums are having a release party for the new single. Gonna be good times. A rare show from one of the best.

currently now listening to The Sea Pinks from Belfast, the almost-out NODZZZ album, and Bez's Madchester Anthems 2CD (purchased in Manchester, of course)!

Small re-=press of both the Scrotum Poles LP and the Mantles 'Bad Design' 7" now available. Bad Design re-press on black vinyl.
Scrotum Poles 'Revelation' repro 7" currently in the works. Other stuff coming as well.

The Mantles "Bad Design" single & Scrotum Poles LP are currently unavailable. A small amount of both will be re-pressed and will be available some time likely in early February.
Please note that the Scrotum Poles LP is available digitally for purchase on iTunes here and on Midheaven here.

Finally! SCROTUM POLES LPs are here! Official release date Nov 3rd, but I'll start shipping these out to early birds on Monday - they are here and ready to go! 22 tracks , all unreleased - all studio stuff, rescued from 1979-80 cassette tapes. LP only, 500 copies, heavy -duty, fold-out covers. You can find a more detailed description & song samples here. After the official release date, the digital version will be available on itunes and at Midheaven.

To make things even more exciting, the mailorder-only MANTLES single is also now available. A co-release with Slumberland , this single features a brand new home-recorded song and a great non-album track recorded during the Siltbreeze LP sessions. You can download an mp3 of 'Bad Design' here.

To really put things through the roof, I have a limited re-press of the Eat Skull/Ganglians split - now with stamped covers instead of screened. This is the last of 'em. For real.

Still have a couple Ski Instructors & Bright Ideas singles, but after that, these are gone as well.

Prices are listed with ppd prices if you are just shipping single items, but check price breaks for shipping on order info page.

There goes almost another year, and of course it took me almost the whole year to get any shit done. Sorry if I've disappeared on anyone or taken forever to get back to you.
The EAT SKULL/GANGLIANS split is finally done and it's a doozy. The GANGLIANS are soon to be your new favorite band. The cover art is pretty ridiculous!
The SCROTUM POLES LP is really truly coming out. It's on it's final steps toward the finish line!
The OLYMPUS LP is happening too. Look for it in a few months.
Oh yeah, for those who didn't receive Ski Instructors or bright Ideas 7"s, I have more of both back in stock!

THANKS!

3/11/08, 8:36 AM:
Boy oh boy, sorry for the long absence. If you've attempted to mailorder anything from me recently, you'll be well acquainted with my lack of professionalism. Some day I'll get my act together, maybe in my third decade of running this ship into the sludge.
Still relatively busy around here: Finally got around to making more MANTLES & SKI INSTRUCTORS singles, both of which were unavailable for a few months.
Lots of good press these days too - THE MANTLES single received great reviews from Doug Mosurak on Dusted, Byron Coley in The Wire, and Tom Lax on the mighty Siltblog., among a handful of others. Check the Mantles myspace page for links to these. The SKI INSTRUCTORS single (of which NO promo copies were sent out) ended up on Carolyn Keddy's year-end best-of Top Ten list in Maximum Rock N' Roll.
And it's worth mentioning that pop mastermind Carolyn Pennypacker-Riggs has not only been spotted playing an electric guitar, she has also abandoned the FINCHES name and is now going under the PALMS monkiker.
Still lots in the works. The SCROTUM POLES project is back underway again, an EAT SKULL/ GANGLIANS split 7" is in the works, something from OLYMPUS (Kraus & Stefan Neville of PUMICE fame), and also likely a TEENAGE PANZER KORPS single at some point. We'll keep you posted.
Thanks
Mr. Yakamashi
P.S. Good things: almond butter and ice cream, the Nigeria Special compilations, the METH TEETH single, KURT VILE, new Messthetics comps of course, and getting the BORED GAMES 12" that I've been looking for forever...

Holy Jehosophat! This Mantles single took forever, but it's worth it! Recorded just over a year ago, this thing really got us in deep. Hours in the basement, perfecting the sound of vocals recorded through a dingey karaoke machine. But it's the real deal. Dark garage-pop without any silly garage rock pretentions. If you wanna hear some clips, go to their myspace: www.myspace.com/mantles.
Lots of news coming up with them, so keep your ears peeled. Some tour stuff, some changes, etc. The Mantles also finished some more 'clean' recordings with Jason Quever the Papercuts guy. They sound good.

If youwanna buy a single, go to the catalog page here.

Also, on the off chance that you've tried to contact me or tried to order something, things have been a little crazy. I just moved a block away from my old place, but address stuff is a little slow to change. Apologies for any delays.

In other news, Carolyn of the Finches has moved to L.A. She's playing lots down there, so the Finches are by no means slowing down.

And Nar played their first bay area show in like ten years. They somehow sound newer than ever. Lets hope they keep doing it. Maybe I'll sell some singles!

Hello again. Just saying hello again. Still working on the site. It'll be done one day. Probably around the time I stop putting out records! The Ski Instructors 7"was heard on WFMU this morning, which is nice because they're the only station I sent a copy to! The Mantles 7" is coming soon. One of the tracks is up on the myspace page: myspace.com/dulcitonerecords.
Also, the Finches were just featured in the last Readymade magazine, which is just about radical. Carolyn from the Finches just moved to L.A., but don't fret. They're coming up north at the end of the month and they are still planning on a U.S. tour in the Fall.
Hope things are good. Don't hold my lame web site against me!

6/6/07, 5:30 AM:
Welcome to Yakamashi! Records
& Baked Goods, home of the mighty Dulc-i-Tone imprint.
Yes, I'm aware it's fucking confusing. Yakamashi! is the company. With little forsight and too much time scrutinizing the distribution practices of Cherry Red & Rough Trade, I thought it'd be fun to have multiple labels under one umbrella. Doesn't really work if it takes ten years to release eight records. But now I'm stuck with it.
Anyway, Dulc-i-Tone is the only active label (for now)
- just wait til I put out a noise record! Been real busy lately with lots of Finches action but I finally finished those goddamn Ski Instructors records. They look beeoutiful! By the way, after nine tequila & sodas, the new website is not so bad, right?! It will only get better in the next few days to come.

Anyway, the Ski Instructors 7" is $6 PPd to my address below, or you can paypal yakamashirecords@yahoo.com and add a quarter for their stupid charge.

Also, please go go my myspace page (myspace.com/dulcitonerecords) since my site sucks so bad - and listen to tracks by the mighty Mantles, The Ski Instructors, and the return of the Scrotum Poles! I am fucking stoked beyond belief to release some of their lost material (which even the nerdiest of you have never heard!!) M<ore on that soon.

Oh yeah, the Finches played live on WFMU & it was aired yesterday. I believe you can find an archived chunk of it on the WFMU site. And don't forget, while you rest, Paris is in jail.

P.S. Things that rule: Tyvek, the Barracudas, new Intelligence line-up, Phoaming Edison for the 40th time toniight on the deck, Hornitos, Melatonin.
